How the calculation works

Theoretical power (kW) = flow (L/min) × pressure difference (bar) ÷ 600 Estimated output = theoretical power × efficiency

Efficiency is a decimal in the formula: 80% = 0.8. The inputs should describe the same operating point and available implement circuit. US flow uses US liquid gallons, not imperial gallons. The estimated output represents a hydraulic motor output under the assumed total efficiency.

A pump’s total flow is not automatically available to the implement. This tool does not model hose losses, heat, duty cycle or simultaneous functions, and does not establish circuit or machine compatibility.
